American Eagle, also on the rebound from a public ousting of its most recent CEO, has since been a bright light in teen retail.   The brand has embraced a strategy of experimentation with pop-up shops, fast-test roll-outs, speed of responsiveness, and sub-brand initiatives.  The latest initiative is igniting Free Range Hackers. “Drink,” is an in-store soda bar that allows shoppers to experience the brand in ways they haven’t before.  And of course, it’s set to an Instagrammable back-drop … for the shopping Lords.


AMERICAN EAGLE:  American Eagle is flying through the Free Range by seeding Discovery for the Lords and inviting participation for the Hackers.  Next step is to cultivate Lovers. We’ll be watching!
